Level: Advanced Intermediate – can turnaround at anytime for a shorter distance. Drinks and snacks available in Red’s Meadow store at 4.2 miles.
Meeting Place: Horseshoe Lake Trail head in the Mammoth Lakes basin
Advice/Hazards: Roots and washouts on the westside of Mammoth pass, ascent is often sandy coming out of Red’s Meadow. Half a liter water is plenty, can refill in Red’s Meadow.
